From the page: "When paddling the Horsetooth Reservoir I am always looking for some traces of the past: old roads, fences, building foundation, sandstone quarries. I had a great time when the reservoir was drained a few years ago. "

From the page: "shooting this or that. There are an increasing number of ways to earn income with photography now that digital technology has made the production and distribution of images more accessible. Whether itâ€s a foray into microstock or becoming a second shooter on weddings, the door has been opened to more and more people wanting to generate income with their cameras. They donâ€t claim to be professional photographers, either, theyâ€re just looking to pay off their camera equipment and buy a new lens or two, they admit."

From the page: "I recently discovered the blog of Canadian microstock contributor Yanik Chauvin. While itâ€s not uncommon to find a full-time microstocker with a high quality portfolio and accompanying blog, it is uncommon when you see the very low user IDs in his referral links! Yanik was the 95th person to join Shutterstock and 370th at Dreamstime. Thatâ€s why I call an early adopter."

From the page: "The 2nd Colorado Global Climate Conference took place on April 18, 2008 in Fort Collins. It was organized by Environmental Club of Rocky Mountain High School and Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes - CMMAP of Colorado State University.
The keynote speaker this year was astronaut and scientist Piers Sellers.
I volunteered to attend the conference as a photographer. It was a challenging, but interesting experience. You can see a few samples of my pictures and some technical details below. The main result of my shooting is a slide show assembled from 65 images."

From the page: "Camera: Canon EOS 10D. A model session with a natural light in my backyard just next to late August roses. I applied some Photoshop effect to these nine abstract portraits (a dry brush filter).
Perhaps, I should go again through these pictures with a more natural look processing?"

From the page: "Learning who you are as a photographer, what you like to shoot, and how you like to shoot it, is the first and most important step you can take into the world of professional photography. Learn what you love, shoot what you love, and then figure out how to make money shooting subjects you're passionate about. You don't have to shoot weddings for a living if you don't like dealing with in-laws. No matter what the subject is, chances are there's a market for it somewhere. The more you shoot, the quicker you'll discover what you're really passionate about, and if you're passionate about something, chances are you'll find a way to translate that passion into great photos!"

From the page: "So, let's look at some popular pictures from my microstock portfolio.
I don't shoot sexy business women, good looking businessmen and happy families. I have some simple pictures though. My stock experience is still very limited (70+ downloads at iStock, 50+ at ShutterStock, 26 at Fotolia and 20 at Dreamstime), but it is always fun to talk about pictures. I wonder if my microstock bestseller list will change significantly in the next few months."
